A perfect day for July blessed the race
participants. The park is 4 Km long, but less than 500 meters wide,
which was a perfect setting for first timers. Awards (three deep) were
presented in each division. If anybody
really liked the free sports books (or would like more free books),
please call Bob Albert at 937-849-0269 & thank him.
Thanks to Matt, Sharon, & Ben Bond, Noelle Bartlam, Joe Smindak,
Jeff McPherson, & Josh Preston for all of their help at the meet.
Several errors were made with control # 1, some people forgot it at the bottom of the map, while others were “tricked” or fooled by the event director’s warped actions of setting out three (3) bogus ‘GO’ controls.
Dick Arnett was correct in pointing out that control # 4 is misleading in that the fire ring is partially hidden by the control circle. I apologize if this caused anybody else undo time. I should have broken the control circle at the nearby fire circle.
