Tipp City 2008 MVOC Bike-O VII Race Results

A hot & humid summer day in Miami Clark County greeted 12 eager participants starting from Kyle Park in Tipp City. While some racers took time to watch part of the Dayton Air show overhead; others were confused with participants of the Tipp City Triathlon (running concurrently in the same area). The race was run in a SCORE-O format with a four hour time limit. There were 24-controls worth 1-point each with a 1-point penalty for each minute (or partial minute) over time limit. Adventurers toured 15 cemeteries in the area, as well as discovering a canal lock, a dinosaur, and a bear. Overall winner was Matt Bond who found all 24 controls in a time of 2:56:10. All racers expressed pleasure at being out in the country on such a hot & humid summer day. Matt Bond's route choice: 17, 6, 3, 2, 7, 4, 19, 20, 18, 1, 23, 15, 13, 14, 16, 11 ,10, 12, 22, 21, 24, 9, 8, 5, finish for 45-miles.
