Bike-O VIII RESULTS
July 25, 2009 

George Rogers Clark Park (Enon)

24-controls; 4-hour time limit; 45-miles with 1,350-feet climb

Well the weather certainly took a toll on attendance.  Severe weather &
heavy rain was covering the area, but surprisingly our race course remained
mostly dry.  Mike Allen had the only carnage accident with skinned up legs,
hands, & shoulder.

Be sure to thank the race volunteers:  Tim Snyder, Andy Helmick, Nicole
Berna, Garry Blair, & Matt Bond.

RESULTS - Matt Bond was Overall winner; clearing the course in 181-minutes.
(Note by Matt: My route covered 47 miles and my control punch order was
14,15,6,11,5,17,21,20,8,18,16,23,24,3,7,12,22,13,9,10,19,4,2,1)

FEMALE SOLO - Mickey McNeil also cleared the course in a very impressive
192-minutes.  Kathy Robbins punched 20-controls in 236-minutes.

MALE SOLO - David Bushroe - 23-controls in 210-minutes.  Dan Thompson rode
his mountain bike to 22 controls in 235 minutes.  Bill Menker took 242
minutes to ride his mountain bike to all 24 controls.  Tom Svobodny found 15
controls in 175 minutes.

TEAM - Mike Allen & Garry Blair bagged 23 controls in 211-minutes.  Ingrid
Honzak & Robert Burke located 18 controls in 247 minutes.
