17 groups with 40 people came out on a warm night to the annual MVOC Night-O and potluck party. The first hour was the standard score-style Night-O, with 20 points up for grabs. However, this year, the fiendishly difficult course was created by Ben Bond, who was completing his Orienteering merit badge for Boy Scouts. Only 2 competitors would get all 20, one of them being someone who actually set all of them that afternoon. Before the 1 hour time limit, everyone was instructed to return and hand in their punch cards so that they were eligible for the Search-And-Destroy-O, with extra points for bringing back the controls. The 2 top competitors duked it out but only 1 emerged victorious, having grabbed 3 controls to bring back which negated the fact that his adversary came in earlier.

The tiebreaker for teams with the same number of controls (punched and retrieved) was time. The time listed is how many minutes/seconds before the 1 hour time limit expired (so a longer time listed means they got back earlier.) Times listed as 0:00 are overtime.
