Super Moon Night Orienteering

Eastwood MetroPark

June 22, 2013

Sharon Bond, Meet Director

30 people chose to come out and orienteer under the light of the full moon at Eastwood  MetroPark. After instructions from the meet director, the horn blew for the mass start at 10:00pm. Orienteers had a time limit of 1 hour to find as many of the 24 controls as possible. Then the horn blew again to begin the Search and Destroy-O portion, where extra points were gained for picking up controls. Those that were hung on the white poles were worth 2 points. The course was designed by Ben Bond, who also ran it until he decided that he had an unfair advantage and chose to finish early. Thanks also to Matt Bond, who did the most control setting, and then ending picking up most of the controls as well.
