Taylorsville MetroPark - September 19, 2015
We had a great day for orienteering with 78 orienteers in 35 starts.
We had a little light rain but the sunshine returned at the end to make a most enjoyable day.
The Splits report shows time spent traveling between each control. For each competitor, the first row shows cummulative time, and the second row shows each leg's split time. Leading times are in blue.
For example, in the super close finish on the orange course, The HHS team of Messer, Mann, & Harris had the best time to control 1. For the 1-2 leg, the HHS team of Terman, Whitt, Hilsmier was best, while the HHS team of Simpson, Whitt, & Bauer then captured the overall lead. They held this lead into control 3 with the best 2-3 time, then lost ground to the HHS team of Little, Polido, & Rose who bested all on the 3-4 leg and captured the overall lead at #4. The Little, Polido, & Rose team held this overall lead mostly to the end. Simpson, Whitt, & Bauer breifly regained it at 9 with a great 8-9 effort, then lost it again at 10. A hard battle at the end was won by Little, Polido, & Rose by just five seconds!
