Harvest-O 2019
Camp Birch - September 22, 2019
We had a good day for orienteering with 71 orienteers in 31 starts.
Weather was on the hot side with temps in the high 80's. Little rain had fallen in the previous month so I had to use a masonry bit to drill into to ground to set some controls -- Thanks Larry Berna! It was his idea originally for frozen ground at a previous cold-o.
Everyone seemed to enjoy running in a new area, and Camp Birch provided a worthy venue for presenting an orienteering event. It has an intricate trail network to challenge novice navigators and areas of more wild woodland to challenge more experienced orienteers. We look forward to provide more Camp Birch orienteering opportunities in the future.
