Pumpkin Hunt 2020

104 people in 50 groups enjoyed a beautiful fall day for orienteering!
Around fifty teams came out to participate in the annual Pumpkin Hunt event held at Camp Birch Boy Scout Camp, on October 4, 2020. This is the first year that the event was held in a location other than Germantown MetroPark. The expecting rain did not come until much later in the event, so most participants were able to stay dry. Anne Lang was one of those unfortunate orienteers who got soaked. She with the help of Tom Svobodney picked up the majority of the orienteering markers. This kept the meet directory stay relatively dry during cleanup. Many thanks to Matt Bond for help with registration and starts. A difficult tasks due the large turnout.
