How Much Does It Cost To Do Orienteering?

Current Fee Structure

The current fee structure for MVOC has been greatly simplified
The cost per person is $5.00 (US), cash or checks. We do not currently have the ability to do credit, debit, or phone payments.
Occasionally there will be events that we partner with other organization, such as the Bellbrook/Sugarcreek Park District, or the National Trails Recreation and Park District, where pre-registration is required through their process. In those cases, the fees will be different, but you will be able to pay by credit/debit/phone.
Your entry fee will get you a map of your course and an e-punch rental.

Discounts!

If you have your own e-punch, we will take $2 off.
Reciprocal members, we will take $2 off.
However, you will only get $2 if you are both a reciprocal member and have your own e-punch.

Reciprocal members are those people who are members of another orienteering club, either nationally or internationally, Scouts, JROTC, organized school groups doing orienteering training, or ORRRC members.

Family rate - if you have multple family members participating and you are going out in groups, we will cap your fee for the day at $10
For example, for a family of 3, if Dad goes out with his kid on the white course while Mom goes out on the green course, it will be a total of $10.
Discounts are applied before we see if the family has hit their cap. In this example, if Dad and Mom both have their own e-punch, it will still be $10.
Dad and his kid would be $3 (for Dad), $5 (for his kid), $3 (for Mom) = $11, so we apply the family cap and they will pay $10.
But if Junior is going on the orange course, with his own e-punch, Dad is going on the green course, with his own e-punch,
and Mom is going on the blue course, with her own e-punch, that would be a total of $9.
