Bill Yeck Park - From the north: Take I-675 to exit #7 and head south on Wilmington Pike. After 1.9 miles, at the bottom of the hill turn right (west) on Centerville Station Rd. The park entrance is on the left after 0.65 mile. The sign says Forest Field Park. You're in the right place. Forest Field Park is a part of Bill Yeck Park. Caesar Creek State Park - The park is located both north and south of SR73 east of Waynesville. Look for signs that indicate which entrance to use. It is possible that you may have to travel east of I-71 for some locations.
Camp Hugh Taylor Birch, 4057 Swimming Pool Rd, Yellow Springs, OH - From north or south, exit I-675 at Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd. Travel east through Yellow Springs, then turn left on US 68. At the next traffic light, turn right on SR 343. Follow 343 to Swimming Pool Rd. This is a sign for the camp at the intersection.
Camp Whip-poor-will - From north or south, exit I-75 at SR123. Turn south-east and follow 123 through Lebanon into Morrow. Head east on US22/3. About 3 miles from the center of Morrow turn left onto Middleboro Rd. The camp is less than 1 mile down Middleboro on the left.
Colonial Baptist Church - Take S.R. 4 north from downtown Dayton. At I-70, continue north on S.R. 235. In New Carlisle turn right on S.R. 571. After about one mile, S.R. 571 takes a sharp right turn. At that point, leave S.R. 571 and go straight (east) on Milton-Carlisle Rd. Continue to Colonial Baptist Church at 8963 Milton-Carlisle Rd. after crossing Bischoff Rd. and before crossing Jackson Creek.
Cricket Holler - (Brantford Rd. entrance) Exit I-75 at Needmore Rd. Go west 1 mile to Frederick Pike. Turn right (northwest) on Frederick Pike for 0.8 mile. Turn right (east) on Brantford Rd for 1.3 miles. Turn left (west) into Cricket Holler Scout Reservation. Camp speed limit is 10 MPH. (new Frederick Pike entrance) Exit I-75 at Needmore Rd. Go west 1 mile to Frederick Pike. Turn right and go 2 miles to the new Frederick Pike entrance, just before reaching Peters Pike. George Rogers Clark Park - From Dayton follow S.R. 4 northeast past I-70. Follow brown information signs to George Rogers Clark Park.
Grant Park - Take I-675 to the exit for S.R. 48 South. From the south, turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto Alex-Bell Rd. heading west. From the north, turn left at the end of the exit ramp onto S.R. 48 heading south, then turn right at the next intersection onto Alex-Bell Rd. heading west. After crossing the interstate (maybe for the 2nd time), turn left onto Paragon Rd. As you start under the interstate, turn right onto Normandy Lane. Park in the Normandy Elementary lot at end of the street.
John Bryan State Park - Take I-675 to exit #20, Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd. and head East. After 6-1/2 miles turn left at the T-intersection onto US-68. Turn right (east) immediately onto SR-343. After one mile turn right (south) onto SR-370. The John Bryan State Park entrance is on the left after one mile at 3790 State Route 370.

Tar Hollow State Park - Sheep Pasture Shelter - Take US-35 East to Chillicothe, then take Charleston Pike (Co Hwy 222) east and follow for 13 miles. There are several branching points on Charleston Pike to make navigation challenging. At a small sign for Tar Hollow State Park turn right onto Park Rd. 16 (Tar Hollow Rd.). One mile further, turn right on Park Rd. 4 (N. Ridge Rd.). Follow orienteering signs to Sheep Pasture Shelter. (Travel time from Downtown Dayton is about 2 hours.)
Thobaben Farm - Exit I-75 at SR73. Turn east on SR73 for app. 18 miles (just past I-71). Turn south on SR380. Proceed app. 1.8 miles and turn right into farm. |
